On 10 and 11 February, France will be hosting the Summit for Action on Artificial Intelligence (AI) in Paris. To open the Summit, the AI Cultural Weekend, an event presented on 8 and 9 February as part of the AI Cultural Week, offers the general public an opportunity to immerse themselves in the many dimensions of AI and its impact on contemporary artistic creation.
Through a series of exhibitions, debates, hands-on workshops and interactions with artists, the AI Cultural Weekend aims to immerse participants in a universe where culture and artificial intelligence intersect to imagine a future enriched by new perspectives.
The event is free and open to all, with registration required.
The spectacular success of ChatGPT, the conversational robot, launched at the end of 2022, has introduced the general public to a sample of the possibilities offered by artificial intelligence (AI): for better or for worse? Awareness of the need to establish a framework for the development of AI seems to be growing in recent times.
Through the “Artificial intelligence: a (r)evolution?” exhibition, Cartooning for Peace presents a series of cartoons from all around the world to grasp the issues at the centre of the development of artificial intelligence, with humour and… intelligence!
The exhibition is issued from the “Artificial intelligence: a (r)evolution?” book, published with Gallimard Editions in the Cartooning for Peace collection, with a foreword by Olivier Tesquet, in partnership with Amnesty International and France Médias Monde. The exhibition was developed with the support of the CFC and of the French Development Agency (AFD).
Generative AI is revolutionising the production of information and challenging our relationship with the truth. How can we distinguish truth from probability in the age of probabilities? CLEMI and Réseau Canopé, in partnership with France Télévisions, invite you to an exceptional debate on the occasion of the cultural programme of the Summit for Action on AI. At the end of this meeting, take part in the workshop ‘GAI: the big challenge of information!’ which will follow in the “Grand Amphithéâtre” in the BnF, moderated by Kati Bremme, Director of Innovation, Editor-in-Chief of Méta-Media, and Christophe de Vallambras, Head of the Information MediaLab at France Télévisions.
Moderated by François Saltiel, journalist and producer of radio programmes for France Culture.
