For the first time, Cartooning for Peace participate in the 2022 edition of the international festival of journalism in Couthures-sur-Garonne, sponsored by the Le Monde group on July 15-16-17.
Cartooning for Peace invites you to the panel discussion “Press cartoons, a weapon of mass distraction”, which bring together the cartoonist Landschulz (Germany), Chappatte (Switzerland) and Urbs (France), with the moderation of Amelie Mougey, editor in chief at La Revue dessinée, on Saturday 16 July from 5:30 pm to 6:30 pm in the Jardin:
The press cartoon, a journalistic genre in its own, has been shaken by the decision of certain media such as the New York Times to do without it. Do the tensions of our societies hinder the freedom and inspiration of cartoonists?
Landschulz (Germany) and Urbs (France) will lead two workshops with the P’tite Rédac, on Saturday and Sunday mornings.
Cartooning for Peace will also present its exhibition “Dessine-moi l’écologie” and the projected exhibition “Press cartoons in wartime”.
