DESIRES, SEXUALITY: WHAT INTIMATE LIFE IS LIKE AS YOU GET OLDER?
Friday 12 July | 11h30-12h30 | La Cale
Old age and intimacy don’t always mix. Aside from mechanical problems and a possible drop in libido, it is often difficult to talk about sexuality in old age, or even to envisage it at all. Does sexuality have an expiry date?

NARDI, Italian press cartoonist and teacher
Christophe BOERY, Head of social life at the Terre-Nègre Village in Bordeaux

CAN WE SHOW EVERYTHING?
Saturday 13 July | 10h-11h30 | La Cale
Should the violence of conflicts be shown in photographs, documentaries or drawings? Do editorial offices censor some of these images? Does the public want to see everything? And do the victims want to be seen?

Garance LE CAISNE, Journalist, author and director of documentaries

CAN WE STILL DRAW AND LAUGH ABOUT EVERYTHING?
Saturday 13 July | 17h-18h | La Cale
Who better than press cartoonists to try and answer this question, when the very purpose of press cartoons is to push criticism to the limit, to flirt with red lines, to press where it hurts? Sometimes risking the worst? Proposed by Cartooning for Peace.
With :
KAK, President of Cartooning for Peace
ZOHORÉ, Ivorian press cartoonist
NARDI, Italian press cartoonist and teacher
KROLL, Belgian cartoonist and caricaturist
WHAT MEDIA LANDSCAPE IN BELGIUM?
Sunday 14 July | 14h00-15h00 | Le Verger
What are the specific characteristics of the Belgian media, which operate in a small market divided into two language sections? Does the existence of a journalistic ethics council improve the image of journalists in public opinion?
With :
Jean-Pierre JACQMIN, RTBF News Director
KROLL, Belgian cartoonist and caricaturist
Manuel ABRAMOWICZ, Belgian freelance journalist
By Laurence BRECX, author of a documentary on the history of anti-Semitism
CHARLIE SPIRIT, ARE YOU THERE?
Sunday 14 July | 16h00-17h00 | Les Acacias
After the Charlie Hebdo attacks, 4 million French people took to the streets to defend the right to caricature and freedom of expression. Nearly ten years on, some people, particularly among the younger generation, feel offended by an art form they consider provocative. Is press cartooning losing the game?
With :
KAK, President of Cartooning for Peace
ZOHORÉ, Ivorian press cartoonist
KROLL, Belgian cartoonist and caricaturist
To mark the occasion, Cartooning for Peace is presenting its exhibition “Artificial Intelligence: (r)evolution?” a series of press cartoons from around the world to help us understand the issues at the heart of the deployment of artificial intelligence, always with a touch of humour and intelligence!
The exhibition is based on the book “Intelligence artificielle: une (r)évolution?”, published by Gallimard as part of the Cartooning for Peace collection, with a preface by Olivier Tesquet, in partnership with Amnesty International and France Médias Monde.
The book will be on sale at the Festival bookshop.
Cartooning for Peace artists will be on hand on Saturday 15 July at 2pm to work with young festival-goers to create a collective (and humorous!) fresco on one of the Festival themes, chosen by the young people of the Val de Garonne Agglomération.
Throughout the Festival, Cartooning for Peace’s press cartoonists will also be working with young festival-goers to run workshops in the “P’tite Rédac”.
