Cartooning for Peace was present, along with many partners, organisations and residents, at the signing of the new Plan to combat racism, anti-Semitism and discrimination in the city of Vaulx-en-Velin on 16 March 2023.

“Its importance and influence in our city are no longer in question. Moreover, many partners have contributed to its creation in 2014 or have joined us since.
At a time when worrying threats are lurking around our republican cohesion and our democracy, we have a demanding duty to continue to act, to raise awareness, to raise consciousness in order to overcome all discriminatory logics and the ferments of confrontation or sedition that they inevitably induce.
We must continue to have a strong voice and action if we do not want particularisms to become fractional. Vaulx-en-Velin is a city of meetings and sharing. Our city has been nourished by all the histories of its inhabitants, by the history of France and of the world, in order to constitute a united, solidary and fraternal community.
