20/03/2019 - 24/03/2019

As part of the Journée mondiale de la francophonie, more than 200 young people from Montreal and Quebec City celebrate their desire for Peace at the Musée de la Civilisation in Quebec City through press cartoons, theatre, choral singing, slam, song, dance and music. They reflect, in an innovative UN diplomatic simulation experiment, on the major global issues that threaten Peace.

This event inaugurates the exhibition “Cartooning for Peace”, which opens until March 24, 2019. Discover a selection of press cartoons drawn by students for the Centenary of the First World War from the Marguerite-Bourgeoys and La Capitale school boards who took part in the workshops as part of the European programme in Canada “Cartooning for Peace and Democracy”. Learn more about the program in Canada.

The programme is organized with the Musée de la Civilisation, Vision Diversité, the Commission scolaire de la Capitale, the Commission scolaire Marguerite Bourgeoys, the Ministère de la Culture and the Consulate of France in Quebec City.
