At the invitation of Librexpression, Cartooning for Peace is pleased to participate in the 2020 edition of the Lector in Fabula festival which takes place in Conversano, Italy from September 25 to December 5, 2020.
Prior to the festival, the association participated, through its president Kak (France), and its members Kichka (Israel), Cristina (Portugal), Rayma (Venezuela) and Khalid Gueddar (Morocco), in the jury of this year’s press cartoon competition on threats to press cartoonists in Europe.
The jury pre-selected 55 cartoons from the European continent to select 10 that will be exhibited throughout the festival. Discover the pre-selected cartoons.
The finalists are Nardi (Italy), Joep Bertrams (Netherlands), Chappatte (Switzerland), Ballouhey (France), Adene (France-Spain), Niels Bo Bojesen (Denmark), Kosanovic (Serbia), Po Leurs (Luxembourg), Magniascutti (Italy). Discover the cartoons of the finalists.
On Saturday, September 26th, round tables on the situation of press cartooning will be organized with the participation of Kak and Sylvain Platevoet, in charge of international development at Cartooning for peace.
