It seems almost unreasonable in 2024, in a world that seems to be continuing to unravel: the return of war to Europe, international tensions in the Middle East, the authoritarian tilt of many regimes, including the “world’s largest democracy”, India, the resurrection of blasphemy in Denmark, the extinction of press cartoonists in the United States… Yet the hand remains firm on the pencil.
