Cartooning for Peace is pleased to take part in the 2020 edition of the World Forum for Democracy. Entitled “Can Democracy Save the Environment?”, this 9th edition will be held online from 18 November and will run for one year before meeting  at the Council of Europe in 2021. Cartooning for Peace offers a digital exhibition, “Democracy to the rescue of Environment” and a campaign of press cartoons from around the world online on ecological issues: pollution, global warming, threats to biodiversity…

In partnership with the department of Bas-Rhin, the association will also launch a competition of press drawings on “the art of consumption” inviting secondary school students in the department to reflect on the impact of their lifestyles and consumption patterns. The educational exhibition “Ecology in cartoons” will also circulate in the department’s secondary schools and will give rise to workshops-meetings between students and press cartoonists.
