Since the Russian president brandished the nuclear deterrent in response to Western economic sanctions, concern has increased.
On March 4, Russian fire caused an administrative building at the Zaporozhie nuclear power plant, the largest in Europe, to catch fire and raised fears of the worst. Fortunately, the threat of a leak was quickly averted, but the danger remains.
Nuclear blackmail or justified fear? The United States and most experts seem to relativize the degree of the threat, but the game is very dangerous: Russia is the world’s leading nuclear power and the person who leads it is as ruthless as he is unpredictable…
