United States: indictment of Donald Trump (season 2)

On Tuesday 13 June at the Miami District Court, Donald Trump confidently pleaded not guilty in a federal court case against him. The former president, who faces 37 charges, is accused of endangering the security of the United States by keeping top-secret documents from his time in the White House in his luxury villa in Florida. He is also suspected of delaying their return until the FBI was forced to search his home.

Donald Trump is now trying to postpone his trial as long as possible, which could result in a prison sentence, to ensure his eligibility for the next presidential elections in 2024. He is convinced, as are three quarters of Republican voters, that this affair is a machination by the Democratic camp “worthy of a fascist or communist regime”… This is Donald Trump’s second trial this year, and two other investigations, including the one into his responsibility for the assault on the Capitol, are still under way.
