On October 25, the military, led by General Abdel Fattah al-Burhane, put an end to the democratic transition that had been taking place in Sudan since the overthrow of Omar el Bechir by civil society during the 2019 revolution.
After days of pro-democracy demonstrations and mobilization of Sudanese civil society, the repression of opponents by the military junta is in full swing: the Sudanese army’s fire has already killed dozens of people and injured hundreds.
Since October 25, the country has been cut off from the world with the blocking of the Internet by General Abdel Fattah al-Burhane, who accuses the online media of supporting civil disobedience.
