In partnership with Le Monde des Ados, Cartooning for Peace is pleased to announce the winners of the Cartoon Youth Challenge. From 1 April to 15 May, the competition invited young people aged 12 to 20 to imagine the world after Covid-19, by posting their drawing on social networks (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram) with the #CartoonYouthChallenge and #theworldaftercovid19.
Among the 193 drawings received, coming from France, the Philippines, Canada, Switzerland, Tunisia and Nepal, the jury selected the 10 best according to their graphic quality, their ability to convey a message, to use symbols but also to make people laugh.
Unanimous, the jury unanimously chose as first prize the drawing by Lélia (15 years old, France) which celebrates caregivers and their courage during the health crisis. Next came the drawing by Chouq Art (13 years old, Tunisia), which denounces the post-crisis consumerist drifts, and the drawing by Coline (16 years old, France), who imagines with humour the next online dating applications. The next generation of press cartoonists is assured. Congratulations to them and to Aislinn (14, Philippines), Annie (18, France), Daniela (17, Spain), Hilary (12, Philippines), Josh (Philippines), Sybilla (France), Yan Yan (Philippines)!
