Gilles Rapaport has been a press cartoonist for over 30 years. He considers that he has never been a good political cartoonist, but rather a critical observer of our society. He writes about our world in the press (L’Express, Le Monde, Pour L’éco, Que Choisir, Stratégies and others), in companies and in his children’s books. He doesn’t believe that a cartoon can change the world, but that if it can just make someone think, then that cartooning is useful. The attack on the Charlie Hebdo cartoonists was a real shock, and it prompted him to use his cartoons to campaign for a world in line with his ideas and values.
