For the third consecutive year, Cartooning for Peace is renewing its partnership with the city of Vaulx-en-Velin, as part of its Territorial Plan to Combat Racism, Antisemitism and Discrimination.
Initially focused on the extra-curricular environment, the offer has been successfully extended to the school environment since 2021. In 2022, several of the city’s secondary schools and leisure centres will receive the “Drawings for Peace” exhibition and the associated educational tools. Workshops-meetings with press cartoonists will be held in and out of school.
With the aim of always providing the best possible support to education professionals, and drawing on its experience, Cartooning for Peace is responding to the needs of the region by offering five days of awareness-raising and support for teaching through press cartoons to teachers and facilitators involved in this project.
The first press cartoon awareness day will take place at the Vaulx-en-Velin town hall on Friday 14 October 2022, in the presence of press cartoonist Rodho.
