As part of le Défenseur des droits (Human Rights Defender) “Educadroit” project (an education project about law and rights), Cartooning for Peace partnered to create a new exhibition tailored for young audiences. “Draw me the Law” offers a pedagogical approach to law and rights topics, using the powerful education value of editorial cartoons.
With a quirky and original point of view on a not-so-easy topic, “Draw me the Law” is made of 11 kakemonos organized around themes such as “What is the definition of law?”, “Are we all equal in front of the law?”, “Who or What is protecting the law?”, “Under 18, what are my rights?”, ” Are laws and rights the same all around the world”, “Defending our rights, changing the law!”, etc.
The exhibition is available only in French. If you are interested in using a Cartooning for Peace tool in English, please discover our “Cartooning for Peace and Democracy” educational booklet.
