Cartooning for Peace is pleased to announce the launching of its programme “Cartooning for Peace and democracy” in Israel. In collaboration with Israeli NGO CET (Center for Educational Technology), Cartooning for Peace organizes a training session on January 20 and 22, 2019.

The training gives the opportunity to the twenty teachers from schools in the Tel Aviv area and Jerusalem, to acquire basics tools to apprehend press cartoons; as for cartoonists, they will be sensitized to intervene among young audiences. We will count on the participation of Israeli cartoonists Avi Katz, Michel Kichka, Shay Charka, Uri Fink, Yonatan Wachsmann, NUSKO and Guy Morad.

For the occasion, an exhibition and a pedagogical booklet was specially designed as to reflect the aspirations and preoccupations of young Israelis, and this in close collaboration with the CET.

The training will be the starting point of the launching of workshops in schools in the following months.
