In 2022, the “Covid in Cartoons” programme, organized in partnership with the University of Leicester and Shout Out UK and funded by UKRI, is on :
- the continuation of the online minicourses, including a session with the cartoonist Mr. T. (France), Dorthe Landschulz (Germany), Lecctr (belgium) & Stellina (Taiwan)
- the creation of a blog bringing together the testimonies of cartoonists facing the Covid-19 pandemic such as Gabor Papai in Hungary: https://staffblogs.le.ac.uk/covid-in-cartoons/
- the development of online interviews, notably with the cartoonist Zapiro (South Africa)
- the article “Political Cartoons in the Classroom: The ‘Simple View of Reading’ Approach”
