04/05/2022

As part of the programme “Covid in Cartoons”, the press cartoonists Tayo (Nigeria), Piet (France) and Lucie Spicer (Shout Out UK) take part in the Forum for Global Challenges, organized by the University of Birmingham. On May 4th at 2:00pm, they will animate the youth-led session “Cartoons and Creative Solutions: Youth Perspectives for the Future”

Over the last few years, the COVID-19 pandemic has exacerbated societal inequalities, posing specific challenges for young people both in the UK and in the majority world. In this youth-led session, young people will discuss the impact this has had on their educational experience and perspectives for future. They will use cartoons and drawings to comment on issues and propose creative solutions. Discussion will be captured via live-drawing by Piet (France).
