On the occasion of the week of education and actions against racism and anti-Semitism, organized from 19 to 25 March 2018, the DSDEN and the Ligue de l’enseignement de l’Académie de Toulouse joined forces with Cartooning for Peace and the MGEN to propose an action towards the public colleges of the department.
20,000 sets of canteen trays were printed with cartoons from the “Cartooning for Peace” educational exhibition to raise awareness among more than 9,500 schoolchildren!
Four sets were designed, with an educational question to allow students to reflect on the meaning and message of the cartoon. An original, playful and innovative way to tackle sometimes serious and often painful subjects, and to open the debate with young people.
The operation was launched at Ingres College in Montauban in the presence of the Prefect and partners.
