Cartooning for Peace is launching a pilot project for the children of 4th and 5th grade in Bordeaux, in the framework of a partnership with the City Hall. It allows very young children to discover press cartoons and to be made aware, with humour, of major social problems and human rights.
The activities take place during the extra-curricular activities (TAP) coordinated by theassociations of Bordeaux district.
On the programme: training of 15 animators from Bordeaux in the use of the association’s educational kits, itinerancy of the educational exhibition “Cartooning for Peace“, workshops with press cartoonists from the Cartooning for Peace network and, finally, two closing conferences animated by Plantu for children and the general public.
In December 2017, the cartoonist of Le Monde and president of Cartooning for Peace, Plantu gives a conference for elementary school children, in the company of the cartoonist Cami and in the presence of the mayor of Bordeaux, Alain Juppé.
