Plantu & Friends: The drawings of freedom

The 66th Festival de Cannes welcomes Plantu & Friends, The drawings of Liberty.

Under the aegis of the Cannes Festival, an auction is organized for the benefit of the Cartooning for Peace Association Monday, May 20.

In collaboration with Piasa, designers Willis From Tunis (Tunisia), Dilem (Algeria), Kichka (Israel) and Plantu (Le Monde and L’Express) will be gathered around the auctioneer, James Fattori.

An exhibition related to the sale, will be presented at the Palais des Festivals for the duration of the Cannes Festival. Composed of about eighty works, it offers a selection of soft and spicy designs on legendary films, the film industry, acclaimed director of such as Fellini, Bergman, and Haneke Spielberg. Some designs also recall that filmmaking is always threatened in some countries like Iran or Algeria.
