Cartooning for Peace has published an updated version of the Practical Guide to Protecting Cartoonists, first published in 2019, for the benefit of all cartoonists worldwide.

The guide was produced within the framework of the 15-month project “Support for the legal protection of press cartoonists (2021-2022)”, supported by the Global Media Defence Fund (GMDF) managed by UNESCO. Its main objective was to improve the legal protection of press cartoonists and thus contribute to an environment of free, plural and quality information for citizens.
In 2022-2023, Cartooning for Peace benefits for the second time from the support of the GMDF and will launch a project on “Strengthening legal support for press cartoonists in the digital world”.
