Since 2009, Cartooning for Peace cartoonists take part in the Forum d’Avignon events to sketch in live debates, in a funny and soft way.
The Forum d’Avignon, created in 2008, is a think tank which ai mis to deepen and value links between culture and economics as well as what they imply in terms of social cohesion and territorial attractivity. Every year, its work lead them to organize international meetings in Avignon, Essen and Bilbao that gather 450 personalities of 40 different nationalities.
During 2013 edition of International meetings of the Forum d’Avignon, Willis from Tunis (Tunisia), Liza Donelly (USA), Dilem (Algeria), Boligan (Mexico), Khalil Abu Arafeh (Palestine), Rayma (Venezuela), Kichka (Israel) and Plantu are invited to sketch in live the debates.
For the event « Forum d’Avignon 2014 100% Data », the cartoonists Camille Besse and Louison drew during the debates -organized at the SECE in Paris- about cultural stakes linked to digital devices.
