At the initiative of network member cartoonist Lectrr (Belgium), Cartooning for Peace has been invited to present the report “Cartoonists on the line” at the event and to contribute to the exchange between the two leading cartoonists, Aseem Trivedi (India) and Lectrr (Belgium).
Aseem Trivedi (India) is an Indian press cartoonist and winner of the Cartoonist Rights Courage in Cartoon Award.
Cartooning for Peace’s participation is part of the “Enhancing legal support to cartoonists in the digital age (2022-2024)” project implemented by Cartooning for Peace and supported by UNESCO’s Global Media Freedom Fund (GMDF) and the Isocrates Foundation.
The discussion, which is sponsored by Cartoonists Rights, will take place on 8 December 2023 at 8pm at the House of Mysteries, Jan Botermanstraat 2, Ghent (Belgium).
