Cartooning for Peace is participating in the fifth edition of the ÇA PRESSE International Press and Media Cartoon Festival in Lyon.

A must-see event for anyone interested in current affairs, satire, and freedom of expression, Ça Presse returns from March 1 to 8, 2026, with a packed program: journalists, authors, researchers, illustrators, and cartoonists share their perspectives, ideas, and drawings to sharpen our understanding of the world.

For one week, the city of Lyon comes alive with the festival:

  • Meetings in libraries across the metropolitan network
  • Exhibitions at partner venues
  • Events in collaboration with major cultural institutions
  • Screenings, debates, and festive evenings

 


During a round table discussion on the state of press freedom and freedom of expression, Cartooning for Peace and Cartoonists Rights will present an exclusive new report on the situation of threatened press cartoonists on March 5, 2026, with the participation of Reporters Without Borders.

On the sidelines of the International Conference on Press Cartooning and Media, the ENS Lyon is hosting a round table organized in partnership with the Lyon Chair for Human and Environmental Rights and the association Ça presse.
