An investigation made public on Sunday, May 30 by the Danish television channel Danmarks Radio (DR), reveals revelations worthy of a spy novel. The NSA, the U.S. security agency, is suspected of having bugged several European politicians, including Angela Merkel. According to this investigation, conducted by several Danish and European media including Le Monde, the NSA would have benefited from the collaboration of Danish military intelligence between 2012 and 2014. Although still unconfirmed, this espionage case would have occurred under the mandate of Barack Obama, at the same time as the revelations of former NSA employee Edward Snowden, who revealed the existence of a system of global surveillance of communications targeting Germans.
