United States: threat to abortion rights

The information leaked to the media on May 2 and had the effect of a thunderclap in the United States. A Supreme Court decision could call into question the constitutional right to abortion, thus leaving the states the choice to ban or restrict it. When you consider that a majority of states are opposed to abortion, there is reason to worry about women’s freedom.
The influence of very conservative religious minorities is growing in the United States, and Trump’s term in office will have done the rest, by appointing six conservative justices to the Supreme Court against three progressive ones.
Several thousand people have since mobilized across the country to denounce the risk of a “step backwards” and Joe Biden, the current president, is calling on Americans to defend this “fundamental right”, especially in the upcoming November legislative elections.
