Democracy is faltering and threatens to unleash monsters: with the return of power struggles and conflicts, the global geopolitical balance has been thrown into disarray. Political, social, economic and environmental crises are multiplying, and there is no shortage of reasons to be concerned about the future. In such a context, how can we revitalise a democracy that seems to be running out of steam?
The cartoonists at Cartooning for Peace are determined not to give in to despair and believe that the struggle for democracy, far from being on its last legs, needs to regain its full vitality in these rapidly changing times.
