Joe Biden faces the migration crisis

Although the U.S. administration refuses to call it a “crisis,” that is what is happening at the U.S.-Mexico border. The influx of migrants has increased drastically in the last month, with more than 10,000 undocumented children already counted. The new occupant of the White House, who was keen to break with the disastrous migration policy of his predecessor (which he described as a “moral and national disgrace”), now finds himself up against the wall. The phenomenon is not new, but the Republican camp, led by Trump, has reacted with vehemence: “The Biden administration has turned a national triumph into a national disaster,” he said. How will Biden, who places human rights at the heart of his policy, react to this major issue?
