Istanbul Airport Attack

Editorial published on July 01, 2016

On the evening of Tuesday June 28, 3 kamikazes opened fire in the Atatürk airport of Istanbul, before blowing themselves up, leaving 44 dead and more than 230 injured. The Turkish authorities including Prime Minister Binali Yildirim seem to be blaming Islamic State which however have not yet claimed responsibility for the attack. They claim to have identified 3 suspects as Russian, Uzbek and Kyrgyz. This terror attack adds to a large list of attacks on the Turkish territory since summer 2015.
