Tensions have been rising seriously between the two countries for several weeks now. After the attack on American tankers in the Straits of Hormuz on 13 June, and the shooting of the drone on 20 June, US sanctions against Iran were swift. Washington threatens and accuses Tehran, which denies it. Trump allows retaliatory strikes and then immediately retracts. On 26 June, the American President mentioned the possibility of a war against Iran “which would not last very long”…
Even if both countries claim not to want to go to war, any spark in this powder keg is to be feared…
