War in Ukraine: tension rises to a new level

The fierce battle in the Donbass, concentrated in Bakhmut and Soledar, could be a turning point in the war. Remote drone strikes have been replaced by more archaic weaponry and more direct and ruthless methods due to lack of equipment. According to them, the Russian army and Wagner’s mercenaries no longer have any regard for the lives of their soldiers, and corpses are piling up in the shell craters.

The outcome of this battle will depend on material resources. Some of Ukraine’s allies are accelerating their arms deliveries. Swedish guns, French and British tanks, Dutch missiles and American ammunition will supply the Ukrainian resistance in the coming days. Volodymyr Zelensky is demanding more, and says he will get all the occupied territories back if the West delivers enough modern equipment.
