Europe, hit by a second wave, is back in quarantine

“46% of positive cases in the world come from Europe”, drove the WHO to warn against a resurgence of the epidemic, which is taking a number of countries of the continent by surprise. Here we are, and Europe is gradually back in quarantine, facing with the worrying increase in cases of contamination.
The fear of seeing hospitals overwhelmed by a second wave, already predicted by some to be more deadly than the first, is forcing governments to react. Curfew measures have been adopted by several countries, but Ireland, Wales and France have even adopted lockdown to try to curb the spread of the epidemic.
Fortunately, schools remain open, as recommended by the UN and UNICEF. Nevertheless, the exhaustion of health care workers, the serious economic difficulties affecting many professional sectors and life under duress, as winter approaches, weigh heavily on the mood of the population.
