Dr. Donald and Mr. Trump

The American President will certainly not cease to amaze us. Faced with the coronavirus crisis, which is hitting the United States hard, the first country in the world to deplore the greatest number of deaths (already more than 90,000 victims), Trump went from denial to medical prevention in just a few weeks, castigating Beijing and the WHO in the process.
After the episode of the detergent, which had caused much ink to flow, the president made known this Monday, during an exchange with journalists, that he was taking as a preventive measure a treatment based on hydroxychloroquine (recommended by the now famous professor Raoult). Ignoring American health recommendations, Trump unleashed yet another outcry.
Some might not blame Professor Raoult for being wrong about chloroquine… if, by any chance, chloroquine was right for Trump. Yet his electorate still seems to be mobilized behind him for next November’s presidential election.
