After five days and a whole night of tough negotiations, a new agreement between London and Brussels seems to have been reached on the morning of Thursday 17 October.
Some are pleased, others remain cautious: this agreement has yet to be voted by the British Parliament and validated by the European Parliament… In other words, nothing is won, especially since the Labour Party led by Jeremy Corbyn, like the non-Irish DUP (Democratic Unionist Party), have already indicated that they will not vote for it…
The question of the Irish backstop remains the main difficulty of this endless divorce. And the Brexit series can start a new season at any time….
