This Friday, February 4th, the 24th edition of the Winter Olympics in Beijing starts!
Pandemic of Covid-19 obliges, the sporting competition will take place in a strict sanitary bubble, behind closed doors and under very high surveillance (sanitary but not only…).
To denounce the numerous attacks on human rights (persecution of the Uyghurs in head) perpetrated by the Chinese regime, the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada and Australia diplomatically boycott the event, while Vladimir Putin will be the guest of honor of the opening ceremony.
Useless to epiloguer more on the geopolitical stakes of these Games which, to crown the whole, will take place to 100 % on artificial snow. The China wants to reassure on the respect of the environment, we are seriously in right to doubt it… And long live the sport!
