Supporters of the incumbent president, mostly from the far-right supremacist and conspiracy movements, wearing paramilitary uniforms, Confederate flags and slogans from another age (“God, Guns and Trump”), wreaked havoc after being heated to the ground by the man now known as the “arsonist firefighter” or White House Nero.
Through his denial and populist radicalization, Donald Trump will have borne the brunt of the weakening of American democracy (the Republican Party is devastated) and the division of his society in general.
On the same day, Senate elections in Georgia gave the U.S. Senate a Democratic majority. Fortunately, American institutions are still holding up well…
