Achieve in 2024 what failed in 2023

At random : establishing peace to put an end to the many conflicts around the world, succeeding in the fight against global warming, overthrowing dictatorships, eradicating hunger and poverty… The list of wishes for the coming New Year could go on and on. Instead, it’s the feeling of helplessness and despondency that grips us when we know that the wars under way threaten to be protracted, that some major democracies are in danger of tipping (once again?) over into populism, that the planet still has a lot to worry about… So a big THANK YOU to our cartoonists who, in the four corners of the world, brighten up the picture with their cartoons. Because laughing is thinking… and acting! So, as the saying goes, in 2024, “let’s be realistic: let’s demand the impossible”.
