Tignous was an editorial cartoonist and humorist born in Paris in 1957.
He made his debut in the comic strip and illustration and has been drawing for the press since 1980. His earliest cartoons appeared in L’idiot international, La grosse Bertha andL’événement du jeudi. Tignous was a contributor to numerous publications such as Charlie Hebdo, Marianne, Fluide Glacial, L’Humanité, L’Express, VSD, Telerama, etc. He also published several books between 1990 and 2010.
Tignous was killed during the horrific attack of Charlie Hebdo on January 7, 2015.
