SOPH’

France

Soph‘ was born in Toulouse, then moved to the north of France at a very early age. After taking her A-levels, she did a preparatory course in Fine Arts before going on to study literature. She first made a name for herself with her blog Les toujours ouvrables, which won an award at Angoulême in 2008. She went on to publish two comic books with Paquet, and a series of quirky little guides with Magnard. She also contributed to Rue 89, Public, Phosphore, Psikopat, l’Echo des Savanes, Siné madame, Mazette (the digital successor to Psikopat) and the now-defunct fortnightly Femmes d’ici et ailleurs. His drawings can currently be found in the quarterly magazine 200, Siné Mensuel, Causette, Le Canard Enchaîné, l’Humanité, the magazine Topo, the recently launched bi-monthly La Brèche, and l’Est Républicain. His latest comic book Tronches de vies is out in 2019 from Editions lapin.
