Algerian visual artist Rabah Soussa is the founder of Nazjer Art, a contemporary artistic and philosophical movement based on the idea that ‘a symbol means nothing, but it evokes emotion’. Since 2000, he has worked as a cartoonist for the newspaper El Khabar. His drawings offer a critical and profound interpretation of society and politics, conveyed with a spirit that is both sarcastic and deeply human. For him, cartoons are not only a tool for criticism, but also a universal language that can sow the seeds of peace and open the doors to dialogue
