PIET

France

Piet lives in Strasbourg, where he combines the hats of journalist and press cartoonist. He fell into cartooning while still a high school student. The opportunity for him to start a small unpretentious blog in 2008. Journalism studies followed and he kept learning how to draw during his free time as a self-taught artist. A short two-year stay in Germany gave him a taste for European politics.

He collaborated for several years for the local news website Rue89 Strasbourg, and the satirical newspapers Zélium and Mazette. Today, he offers his cartoons for Le Monde and France 24 as part of the partnerships with Cartooning for Peace. Piet leads workshops in schools and prisons, and works on comic strip and animation projects.
