Jul was teaching Chinese history before deciding to live his passion for cartoons and comic strips.
He therefore works with La Nouvelle République des Pyrénées, Le Nouvel Observateur, Marianne, La Dépêche du Midi and Charlie Hebdo which he joined in 2000 and where he still works. He still regularly offers his honed cartoonist perspective to Les Echos, L’Humanite,Lire, Philosophie magazine and Fluide Glacial as well as on television. Jul has also released several albums and cartoon compilations.
