Fabiane Langona is a journalist, comic book author and self-taught visual artist. She is a cartoonist for the newspaper Folha de S. Paulo and began her career in graphic arts as an editorial assistant at MAD in BRAZIL magazine. Fabiane is the author of the books *Un coupe de pâte avec Tendresse* (winner of the HQ Mix Award for best graphic humour publication), published by LeYA/Barba Negra; *Quelques Femmes du Monde*, published by Mórula Editeur; and the comic book *La Banalisation des Affects*, published by Ugra Press.
Her work has been published in various national and international newspapers and magazines, such as Revista Piauí, Le Monde Diplomatique Brasil, Quatrocincoum, TPM, O Estado de São Paulo, Diário de Pernambuco, Courrier International, Stripburguer and Mongólia, amongst others.
She was the first Brazilian to design the poster for the Piracicaba International Humour Fair, and has exhibited her caricatures and humorous drawings at numerous festivals dedicated to graphic humour, such as the Melaíto Humour Fair in Cuba, the International Exhibition of Caricature, Press Cartoons and Humour in Saint-Just-le-Martel, France, and in the ‘Brazilian Wave’ exhibition at the Angoulême International Comics Festival.
She made her debut as a cartoonist for Folhateen in the Folha de S. Paulo newspaper, and has also published weekly cartoons and humorous drawings in the newspaper supplements Mercado and Ilustríssima. Since 2017, she has been publishing the daily comic strip *Vivre ça Fait Mal* in *Ilustrada*, which has been known as *Espèces d’espaces* since 2026.
More recently, she contributed to the book “100 dessins pour Gaza”, an anthology featuring several artists published by Massot Editions, with all proceeds donated to Palestinian journalists and their families.
