Colombia

Chócolo (born 1964) graduated at the Medellin Fine Arts School and at the University of Bogota in audiovisual field.

Since 1980, he has drawn editorial cartoons and illustrations for Frivolidad, Credential, Cierto, Cambio, Semana, Soho, El Malpensante magazines and the newspapers El Mundo, El Nuevo Siglo, El País, Caja de Herramientas, El Tiempo, El Espectador, etc. Since 2008, he publishes exclusively in the daily El Espectador. He published in 2009 the book Dirt war does not wash in public (La guerra sucia se lava en casa) which compiles twenty years of his work.

He now lives in New York.
