Cartooning for Peace is delighted to support the launch of the first edition of the International Biennial of Press Cartoons in Latin America, which will take place at the UNAM’s Centro Cultural Universitario Tlatelolco in Mexico City from 24 October 2026 to 30 January 2027.

Under the overarching theme of ‘a new world order’, it aims to encourage reflection on the political, economic, social and cultural transformations shaping the contemporary world, against a backdrop of constant global change. Geopolitical conflicts, the environmental crisis, migration, technological advances and shifts in power structures pose new challenges to peace, social cohesion and human dignity.

For this inaugural edition, the Tlatelolco University Cultural Centre (CCUT), in collaboration with CartónClub, invites cartoonists, illustrators, visual artists and graphic designers from around the world to take part in this international event.
