In partnership with the French Ambassy in Andorra, Cartooning for Peace is pleased to show for the first time the exhibition “It’s getting warmer for the planet!” at Musée MW de l’électricité de FEDA in Andorra la Vella.
The ocassion for Plantu to meet andorean pulic during a conference Thursday 10th Jannuary at 7:00pm at cinémas Illa Carlemany.
Our planet, and with it, all living species, are in real danger. The ecological emergency is such that we can no longer ignore it.
The latest report of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) sounds the alarm: warming temperatures above 1.5°C will have very serious consequences on climate, species… The evidence is there, very tangible, and climate skeptics will soon run out of arguments.
New heat waves, deadly droughts, melting glaciers, rising waters, increasing natural disasters… global warming is the major challenge of our generation and, it is to be feared, of those still to come.
In addition, there are all the problems related to pollution, water scarcity, the use of pesticides in the food industry… It is our health and our survival that are at stake! It is therefore time to act and call on our governments and public authorities to confront the problem.
This is why Cartooning for Peace, an international network of press cartoonists resolutely committed to the fight for the environment, wants to offer this exhibition to the public. See the exhibition online in French.
The exhibition echoes the book of the same title, published by Gallimard on March 8, 2018. More informations.
