Designed as part of UNESCO “Networks of Mediterranean Youth” and Cartooning for Peace “Drawing Peace and Democracy” programmes, both supported by the European Union, the brand-new exhibition “Tsawar M3aya” or “Imagine with me” is the result of a collaboration between youth organizations committed to promoting young people citizenship participation, human rights and freedom of speech in Morocco, and professional editorial cartoonists.
“Tsawar M3aya” is an original pedagogic project based on cartoons and caricatures, reflecting Moroccan youth challenges, dreams and ambitions. The exhibition is made of thematic panels, discussing young people questions around education, health, employment and information access. The project aims to develop young critical mind and raise awareness on global human rights issues.
Opening of the exhibition is taking place on April 11 at 6.30 PM at Morocco National Library in Rabat. It is followed by a conference by French cartoonist Plantu, president of Cartooning for Peace.
“Tsawar M3aya” is then being presented at Rabat French Institute’s library before travelling around the country.
