Cartoonists Kak and Piet will meet with the Strasbourg Youth Council to lead three workshops on 5 November, focusing on the new educational tool ‘Artificial Intelligence, Rights Ahead! Press Cartoons and Citizenship’.
Designed by Cartooning for Peace, this free resource is available online to all education professionals and provides a platform for debate, enabling users to grasp the issues at the heart of the deployment of artificial intelligence, always with humour and… intelligence! It consists of an exhibition, an educational booklet, videos of young people’s testimonials and an accompanying booklet.
By offering an overview of artificial intelligence, its challenges and potential consequences for society – particularly in terms of human rights – Cartooning for Peace aims to encourage a critical and civic-minded approach to the ethical development and use of AI.
