year 2024

The association’s Activity Report for the year 2024 is available:

With a full review of the actions carried out in 2024, the report also offers a perspective on the year 2025 with the continuation of the recurring editorial and educational partnerships and support for press cartoonists, the commemorations of the 10th anniversary of the attack on Charlie Hebdo, the fight against disinformation, the subject of artificial intelligence and the association’s commitment to democracy…

Kak, President of Cartooning for Peace, also has an editorial on Fighters… for peace: “With the Cartooning for Peace team, this is what the 344 cartoonists who are members of our international association do, when they point the finger at the abuses or shortcomings of the world’s powerful, at the shortcomings of our societies, and often with humour, the best antidote against fear and anxiety; when they invite us to be self-deprecating, the cement of tolerance; when they unmask the liars and propagandists, rejecting obscurantism; When we display their cartoons in public places, reminding visitors and passers-by of the fragility of acquired rights, as part of our vigilance as citizens; when, finally, they stand up in the face of oppression, risking their careers, their freedom and sometimes their lives, heroes and heroines necessary to any resistance. They want peace. So they fight.”
